How to Play
Powerball is here Washington! Are you ready?
With nine different ways to win and jackpots reaching the multi-millions, Powerball has all kinds of crazy excitement.
It's time for some big wins, and with jackpots starting at $20 million, Powerball is going to deliver.
Here are all the details you need to get in the game:
- Use only black/blue pen or pencil for marking the playslip. Mark entry boxes like this [I]. If you make a mistake, DO NOT ERASE. Mark the VOID box for that panel and move to the next panel.
- Each playslip has five panels, titled A through E. Each panel is one play for $1, and consists of an upper field and a lower field. Select five numbers from 1 to 59 in the upper field and one Powerball number from 1 to 39 in the lower field. You may play up to five panels on a playslip
- If you want the computer to randomly select your numbers in the upper and/or lower field(s), mark the "QP" box for "Quick Pick."
- To play your numbers for more than one (1) drawing at a time, mark the appropriate box by "NUMBER OF DRAWINGS." Play up to ten consecutive drawings.
- Multiply your prize! Add the Power Play multiplier option for an extra $1 per play, and if you win one of the non-jackpot Powerball prizes, your prize will be multiplied by the Power Play multiplier number drawn for that drawing. Power Play multipliers include 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x.
- Check your playslip carefully to make sure you have correctly marked the numbers you want before presenting to the retailer. This playslip is not a valid receipt. Once a Powerball ticket has been issued, it cannot be cancelled. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Players have 180 days from the date of the Powerball drawing to claim their prizes. Once a Jackpot is claimed, winners have 60 days to choose 30 annual payments or a Powerball cash payment in one lump sum.
Washington Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time every Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets may be purchased until 6:45 p.m. Pacific Time on drawing nights. For more information about Powerball, see the official Powerball website at www.powerball.com.
